What’s the interest? The embedded beliefs and rationale of our leaders - ideology and policy making are the basis for the roadmap to the future. Learning the impetuses to force change in the world is a key to understanding the behavior of world leaders and the men behind the curtains. For example, a key document arguably considered a blueprint for U.S military global preeminence was written by the neo-conservative think-tank called PNAC (see quote below). Eighteen PNAC members such as Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, William Kristol, and Richard Perle wrote an open letter to Bill Clinton in 1998, and later to ranking members of the congress. In 2000, PNAC published Rebuilding America’s Defenses. When the Bush administration took office in 2001, 10 of the 18 PNAC letter signers became part of the administration.

QUOTE: [In particular, we need to] develop and deploy global missile defenses to defend the American homeland and American allies, and to provide a secure basis for US power projection around the world. [In particular, we need to] control the new ‘international commons’ of space and ‘cyberspace’, and pave the way for the creation of a new military service - U.S. Space Forces - with the mission of space control.”
